Ballet
Classical ballet is the foundation of all dance. Our ballet classes promote physical strength and agility, boost concentration and focus whilst developing an understanding of music and rhythm, most all generating a love of movement. At The Studios, we do this by engaging students through fun and enjoyable lessons, whilst making sure correct, safe technique is taught. We encourage our students to use their imagination and explore their love of dance. We offer ballet classes from the tiniest dancers in Ballet with Mummy, all the way up to Ballet Gold for our ‘senior’ dancers! Our Studios follow the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing Syllabus, and we offer students the opportunity to take Classical Ballet Exams with the ISTD.
Modern
Modern Theatre is a rhythmic dance style which is enjoyed across the globe, a lovely style for the children who have bundles of energy and natural musicality. Modern dance is often seen on the stages of Musical Theatre productions and compliments ballet training beautifully. This style teaches travelling steps, kicks, leaps and turns and is a highly energetic dance style. Our students have the opportunity to take exams in Modern Theatre.
Tap
Tap dance is a great way for your feet to do the talking. A fun style of dance where students learn to develop a sense of rhythm using different beats, sounds and enjoy dancing to current music. Listening to a variety of music allows children to develop their timing and tap skills in an enjoyable environment. We have developed our own Baby Tap syllabus teaching initial tap skills using creative and imaginative teaching methods to inspire our tiniest tappers. Tap is Miss Hannah’s favourite class! From reception age onwards we work towards the ISTD examinations and children have to opportunity to take exams if they wish to do so.
Street
Our street classes are popular and current, allowing the students to dance to the most recent up to date chart music, which they love! Different choreography and routines are worked on each week, as well as learning specific street dance moves and tricks. This is a non-syllabus class, allowing children the chance to enjoy dancing with their friends and work on strength and flexibility whilst listening to their favourite music.
Progressing Ballet Technique
Progressing Ballet Technique is a revolutionary programme to enhance ballet technique. This innovative programme allows students to understand the depth of training muscle memory to achieve their best in classical ballet. This class will improve flexibility, strengthen technique and improve longevity in dance. If interested in this class, please contact us to check whether it would be suitable.
Musical Theatre
We are excited to offer weekly Musical theatre classes alongside our extremely popular Musical Theatre holiday workshops. In these weekly classes we will delve a little deeper into the components of Musical Theatre in order to develop the children’s confidence in singing, dancing and acting – the perfect way to explore the fundamentals of musical theatre in a dynamic and fun atmosphere. Using songs and scripts from the most popular musicals, these lively classes really are not to be missed. Even our tiniest dancers get to enjoy this super class – Baby Stage for the pre-schoolers.
Lyrical
Lyrical dance is a fusion of ballet and jazz techniques. We enjoy dancing to beautiful music and letting the lyrics dictate the dancing. Lyrical jazz is a very passionate and emotional dance style. It portrays certain emotions such as love, and tells a story through every movement made. One of Miss Sophie’s all time favourite classes.

Booking A Class
We offer an initial three week trial, therefore you can see how your child gets on for the three classes, before deciding if you would like to continue. If you do choose to continue, you will be invoiced for the remainder of the terms fees.

Every detail is covered, from making decorations, hair accessories, staying up late decorating the room, every project comes from the heart! The Mums just love it and because of this, every workshop is filled within weeks!’
